Iris is a beautiful burst of colour from early spring to mid summer. Whether you desire a tall bluish stem, or a short clump of colour, this hardy bulb can offer your garden just the right show. The common Blue Flag and Bearded Iris are hardy to the cooler zones and multipoly well through out the seasons. Iris’ can be easily divided and shared amoung gardening pals. Iris Images on the Web. The “Blue Flag” varieties are very hard and also drought tolerant, as ther an Ontario and Quebec native form for each. These spring flowering perennials come in short and tall varieties, and will spread through there rhizomes in the soil.
